Winter is fast approaching and it is time to think about snowmobiling. The "Adirondack Trail Riders" is a newley formed group within Ticonderoga and neighboring communities, interested in supporting snowmobiling. We are a group committed to working together with our local governments, to solve problems and promote our sport. In the brief existence of our club, we have accomplished much already:
We have established a working relationship with the Ticonderoga Town
Board, and Essex County Board of Supervisors
We have already cut a trail along the LaChute River to access the
downtown business, brushed out trails behind the Town of Ticonderoga
compaction Station, as well as other areas.
The club is now a "not for profit" corporation.
We have been working diligently with the New York State Office
of Parks, Essex County, and other clubs to establish interconnecting trails
in our area.
We have Developed a presentation to give to landowners, to gain
permission for access to snowmobile on thier property.
A lot of work still needs to be done. These are just a few accomplishments, we, as a club have already achieved, to preserve our sport. We need your help. Please consider joining in our effort and support the club by becoming a member today. Family membership is only $20.00 and single is only $15.00 yearly. Please contact me at wwater@capital.net with your name and address and we will send you a membership card.
Hope to see you on the Trails
